Nursery in Progress

This is what we have so far with furniture in place for the most part. All the pieces will be painted to match the crib. The only furniture not pictured is a dresser/changing table, which we are still looking for. It will go where the mattress is on the right side.
This was a really fun project. I created the tree entirely out of paper towel rolls. Definitely wouldn't have guessed that :) It's much sturdier than you'd think too. I was planning on painting it, but I am leaning more towards leaning it as it is. I have fabric birds in coordinating fabric with the room that are going to be in the tree as well.
The overall decor theme for the room is buttons and the colors here. One of my favorite color pallets and we wanted to go neutral with decor. I created the mobile by stringing buttons on fishing line and stringing it on a quilting hoop. I then glued buttons on the outside edge of the hoop. I covered the canvases with fabric that I found that ended up being my inspiration for the room. I then glued buttons onto the canvases in the ABCD shapes. Just a simple addition that I think adds a lot.
Looking for simple and inexpensive accent items led me to create these bottles. I used old wine bottles and wrapped them with yarn. I then added button accents to them in flower shapes. I got the jar on the left for $3 at Hobby Lobby (it was 1/2 price at the time).  I have put extra buttons in it for decoration as well as storage for right now.
You can sort of see some of the birds that I created for the tree in this picture. As far as the glider goes I am going to be using it, but will be changing the look almost entirely to look much sleeker and less like the country glider it is now. I will post a picture with the transformation.
